I am fortunate to have normal to dry skin with very little acne.  Usually my break outs are because my skin is dry and clogging my pores.  The avocado facial mask is a lifesaver.  I found that the natural oceanic clay mixed with the avocado deeply cleansed my skin while leaving it moist and refreshed.  No more breakouts from dead skin!  I love the fact that this is a local product and comes from natural oceanic clay right here in British Columbia.  I have been using the facial mask once a week for about 6 months now and am loving the comments on how my skin is glowing.  This facial mask is a keeper!

WHAT DOES IT DO?

Does your skin need a jolt of moisture?  The rich avocado oil helps relieve dryness and itching while giving the clay a pleasant mild scent.  It is ideal for nourishing dry skin.   The natural oceanic clay is exfoliating, conditioning, moisturizing and smoothing while replenishing and protecting your skin's moisture.

Avocado Oil:

Avocado oil is easily absorbed into deep skin tissue, and with its wonderfully emollient properties, it is ideal for mature and dry skins. It helps to relieve the dryness and itching of psoriasis and eczema. It is also high in sterolins, which are reputed to reduce age spots and help heal sun damage and scars.

Jojoba Oil:

Jojoba oil is chemically very similar to human sebum (your skin's natural oil); it’s easily absorbed by the skin and makes it silky smooth. It has the ability to minimize fine lines and wrinkles, helps break down sebum in plugged-up pores, and prevents the development of acne.

Natural Oceanic Clay :

   * Detoxifying: Rich in minerals and rare elements, this oceanic clay is highly charged, meaning it carries a strong interactive force that makes it very reactive, and therefore, a powerful ion exchanger. When the clay is applied to the skin, the impurities, which are positively charged, are bound to the clay’s powerful negative charge, much like a magnet and ultimately are rinsed away with the removal of the clay.

   * Exfoliating: The fine colloidal size particles of the clay will enhance the removal of dead surface skin cells. The adsorptive and ion exchange capacities of the natural oceanic clay could also lead to the more efficient removal from the skin surface of inorganic and organic cationic residues from sweat and sebum. It exfoliates the skin, promotes blood circulation and stimulates the regeneration of damaged or troubled skin.

   * Rehydrating: The clay also uses its osmotic strength to pull moisture up from deep inner tissues to hydrate the skin. Unlike other cleansing agents, this oceanic clay deeply cleans the skin without drying it out.

• Directions for Use
• After cleansing, apply a generous layer of clay evenly over the entire face, avoiding the eye and mouth area. Let dry 20 - 25 minutes. Wash mask off with warm water, using a sponge or face cloth.
• Dry skin: once a week.
• Normal skin: 1 - 2 times a week.
• Oily skin: up to 3 times a week.
• Mild tingling is to be expected due to the osmotic action of the clay.
